Dear Friends,
This is being posted as an update to today's earlier information.
While Anne and Bill are still in very serious condition, and the doctor's comments were difficult for us to hear, we all still have hope and faith for positive news.
Today's comments from the doctor was simply a reality check to the seriousness of the injuries of Anne and Bill. The comments were not intended to be a final decision by any means, but rather a reality that we the family must discuss and think about.
Each of your prayers and wishes are lovingly appreciated and we thank everyone for your love and support.

Thank you for the great picture! we love you all. Joan and John Scott
I apologize if I unnessarily worried anyone with the earlier post. Today was an extremely difficult and emotional day at the hospital. I still have hope.
You don't know me but I know Bill and Anne through my dad, Walter Witt. As you are well aware, they are wonderful, good people whom I feel so fortunate to know. I have fond memories of their mexican parties in Cancun. Anne's quick , beautiful smile and Bill's delicious guacamole and fun karaoke.(SP!)They have always made me and my husband Jay feel like one of "the gang".
Please know that my entire family sends our thoughts and prayers out to you and them.
Doctors so often give "Worst Case Scenerios". I think it is in the job description. It does help prepare us, but it can cloud our hopes.I hope it doesn't yours. Know that we all hope and visualize good things for Anne and Bill. We won't lose hope for you and for them. And even doctors can be surprised when good things can and do happen. I am hoping and praying and visualizing good things for them.
Please remember yourself as well. Take care ,
Leslie Millman (Walter Witt's daughter)
Anne and Bill are in our thoughts and prayers. Kay and I know them through Holy Comforter, and the Christ Family work Anne does. We will continue to pray for them as well as each of you, as you all struggle through this difficult time.

I am one of John and Joan Scott's daughters. I just wanted you to know that I am praying for Anne and Bill that the Lord will watch over and care for them during this difficult time. Your parents have always been so kind and thoughtful to all the kids in our family. They have touched so many lives. I am also praying for all of you during this time that you have the strength and peace that you need right now. Take care, Rebecca Isaac
Hey Kelly! Sorry about the misinterpretation yesterday. Not a problem. Ill be down tomorrow after school to see them..and you guys too! Love you all, Erin
Praying lots! I am sending a CD with Bill Wells or Bruce Birdsey, the choir recording we made Thursday night for Bill and Ann;a small thing, but trying to show how much we're thinking of you all and love you and Bill and Anne.
Also, Muriel Anderson sent me some things for them-I think they're CDs Bill and Anne have perhaps, but these are sent with love and care from Muriel, herself to them!
We're all thinking of you and praying. We'll make another CD this week and send it on.
Love,
Martha (and the Holy Comforter Choirs)
Michael and I are friends of Gary and Karen at church and our entire church is praying for Anne and Bill. We really enjoyed having Bill sing in our Christmas Cantata for the past 2 years, and his solo last year was so special. God be with you all..Michael and Mary Beth Meyer.
Our prayers go out to Anne and Bill and also to those of you who are there caring for them and giving them strength. We asked our minister to add them to our prayer list last night. We continue to have hope for their recovery, and we wish we could be there to give all of you our heartfelt love and support.

I know Anne and Bill through church-- Food Closet, Christ Family Project, Refugee Resettlement . . . and through the Virginians Chorus (my husband Mike and son Clayton are tenors). Bill and Anne are constantly in our thoughts and prayers and of course, so is the whole family. They are such dear people-- joyful, giving, loving, talented-- I pray for their comfort and healing. Please call if ther is anything we can do that would be of help. God bless.
Extra prayers are happening. Do not lose heart! Barbara Marques
I know Anne and Bill from HoCo. We sit near them in church, and Anne is a Sister of Pelagius (womens spiritual group) with me. We have cancelled our November group meeting so we can all attend the Muriel Anderson concert. Anne and Bill are both such kind, gentle souls. Know that you are all being prayed for very hard by so many of us. Miracles really do happen, even in large, sterile medical centers!

I echo the sentiments of other members of our Holy Comforter family when I say that Bill and Anne are in our prayers. Please know that they are both being held in gentle, loving hands. Barbara McCreary
