Prayers & Support

We finally had doctor come by that took the time to talk to us and really give us an understanding of the situation. She said that we need to be prepared to discuss what Mom and Bill would want because there is a chance they will not improve. They were very adamant in their medical directive, they did not want to be on life support. I think we all knew the situation was grave, but this really hit home. If you are praying for them now, please kick it up because they need it.

We know they are getting the best possible care, but it is really hard because there are so many doctors, residents and students that come around, it seems like a different story every time. This was the attending physician, so it feels like a huge blow.

If you have not filled out a medical directive for you and/or your family, please make time to do so.

oh kelly, I'm sorry to hear this. While his news was not great, you're right, I'm glad you got to speak to the attending. Thoughts and prayers are definitely with you all! Ans

Kelly, I know this news is very hard for you and the family, and I'm so sorry. It is one potential reality, though, among several, and as someone your parents' age, I can well appreciate their medical directives. At some point, the fight can become too much and the conclusion too remote and iffy. Bill and Anne are so much in my prayers and on my mind, and my prayer for them remains what it has been, that what is best for them will be accomplished by the One who supports us all. You are all so much in my heart in this very difficult time.

We heard the news from Walter and Rosemary and our hearts go out to you all. I know Trey is so fond of the both of them. I do not know them as well but know they made a fabulous smoked salmon for our engagement party which was a hit :). Trey and I have Anne and Bill in our thoughts and prayers as well as you and your family.

I just read the update and am so sad for you, your family, Bill& Anne. We never know what God has in store for us.So therfore no one knows for sure. You hang in there--they are tough and fighting awfully hard...there is always hope. And that is the sweetest picture of them..just like them..sweet and kind.Love to you all. Vince, Pam,Thor, Xena, and sweet Henry.

We are praying and hoping that both of them will come through this. With the posting and information you are getting from the other doctors it seems confusing. I know your mom and if there is a fighter in this family its her. And I can read from your post about the fight Bill is giving. And knowing this we have I know they will make it.
